Description
Most Tour Operator in Mauritius as well as taxi drivers began this tour with a first halt at the volcano crater at Trou aux Cerfs and end the day at the colored earth of Chamarel, visiting on the way the Sacred lake at Grand Bassin and the Black River Gorges. They start the trip around 9.00 am and back to your staying place at around 4.00 pm.
A seven-hours trip, packed with other tourists in a minibus, is too much for visiting only these places! To fill the gap they will make several stops to factories and shops, thus harvesting commissions.

What we propose is a real full day trip starting at 8 am and back at 6 pm. A minibus, a driver and a personal guide will be at your exclusive service. We begin the day by visiting a glass gallery at Phoenix, a volcano crater, a ship model factory and an Eiffel tower at Floreal.

Our next stop will be the sacred lake at Grand Bassin, where you can visit Hindu temples and see the statue of God Shiva, which is the highest of the island.
A short stop at The Black River Gorge to have at look at the remain of our endemic forest is what will follow next before getting to the beautiful waterfall of Chamarel, the colored earth and a very beautiful viewpoint of the south-west coast.
This is normally one would get from local Tour Operators for an astronomical amount of money. With us the day doesn't end here because the second part of the trip begins then!
From Chamarel, we will get to the southern coastal road at Baie du Cap and have some sightseeing of the wild south coast while heading towards Riviere des Anguilles. We will stop at Gris Gris so that you can admire the huge waves of the south sea. La Reserve Des Mascareignes will be our last stop where you will be able to see crocodiles and giant tortoises being bred in semi captivity. If you have children, it will be a delight for them to be carried on a giant tortoise's back and to feed them.
